June 27 (Renewables Now) - Vestas Wind Systems A/S (CPH:VWS) has received a turbine supply order for the 30-MW Eolmed floating wind project off the coast of Gruissan and Port-la Nouvelle in France.

The Danish company will supply, transport, supervise the installation of and commission three V164-10.0 MW wind turbines on the project site in the Mediterranean Sea. The order comes from the three project sponsors – Qair, TotalEnergies SE (EPA:TTE) and BW Ideol (OSE:BWIDL).

The consortium launched construction work in May, a few days after announcing it had taken a final investment decision (FID).

Turbine delivery and commissioning are expected by the first half of 2024. After project completion, Vestas will also service the wind park for a period of 15 years under an Active Output Management (AOM 5000) deal.
