Vestas to deliver 184 MW of wind turbines in Denmark

Dec 28, 2012 - Danish Vestas Wind Systems A/S (CPH:VWS) today said it had clinched a deal to supply 184 MW of wind turbines to a Danish client in the next three years.

The wind turbines maker has already arranged to deliver the first 17 MW of the machines in 2013. The deal also includes a 15-year active output management (AOM) 5000 service agreement, Vestas said.

Via the agreement, Vestas has further strengthened its business on the wind market in Denmark, according to the company's vice president of sales in the Nordic region, Krister Poole Jonsson.

On Thursday, Vestas unveiled a contract to deliver 90 MW of wind turbines for a wind park in Chile developed by Italy's Enel Green Power (BIT:EGPW) as part of the global supply agreement for 400 MW, with another 1,000 MW optional, between the two companies.
