Danish company Vestas Wind Systems A/S (CPH:VWS) said on Tuesday it has signed a formal deal to supply 126 MW of wind turbines for the Had Kanghan project in Thailand.
Under the firm and unconditional order from renewable energy firm Energy Absolute PCL (BKK:EA), Vestas will deliver 70 units of its V110-1.8 MW turbine in 2016. The wind park, to be built in the Songkla and Nakhon Si Thamarat provinces, is expected to be commissioned later that year.
In addition to supplying, supervising installation and commissioning of the turbines, Vestas will also service the machines under a five-year AOM 4000 contract.
The Danish firm’s total year-to-date announced order intake amounts to 5,656 MW, it said. Overall, Vestas has about 69,000 MW of installed capacity around the world.
