December 24 (Renewables Now) - Vestas Wind Systems A/S (CPH:VWS) has booked an order from Norwegian utility Finnmark Kraft AS to supply 38 MW of turbines for the repowering of the Havoygavlen wind farm in northern Norway.

The Danish company is to deliver nine units of the V117-4.2 MW Typhoon variant turbines to the wind farm on the island of Havoy, located deep within the Arctic Circle, Vestas said.

The Vestas machines will replace 15 units of Nordex's N80-2.5 MW turbines while increasing the wind farm’s annual output.

The order includes the supply, installation and commissioning of the turbines and the 30-year service agreement.

Vestas expects to deliver the turbines during the second and third quarter of 2021 and commission them later in the fourth quarter.
