Vestas secures 74-MW turbine order from US customer

March 27 (Renewables Now) - Denmark's Vestas Wind Systems A/S (CPH:VWS) said today it has booked an order to supply 74 MW of wind turbines for a project in the US.

Information about the project and the customer have not been disclosed.

The project will use a total of 45 pieces of V110-2.0 MW wind turbines, a figure that includes previously purchased production tax credit (PTC) qualifying turbine components, the Danish manufacturer said.

The contract covers the supply and commissioning of the turbines. Vestas will also service the project under a ten-year agreement.
