January 23 (Renewables Now) - Denmark’s Vestas Wind Systems A/S (CPH:VWS) has booked an order for 60 MW of turbines for the Janikowo onshore wind farm project in Poland.

The order has been placed by Danish wind and solar park operator Eurowind Energy A/S, which secured the project in the Polish renewables auction in December 2019.

Vestas said Thursday it will deliver 29 units of V100-2.0 MW turbines and one V90-2.0 MW turbine to the Janikowo site in the Kujawsko-Pomorskie Province in Poland. The turbine maker’s contract also covers the installation and commissioning of the machines and a 20-year service agreement.

Turbine deliveries are planned for the first quarter of 2021, followed by commissioning in the fourth quarter.

Eurowind Energy was awarded 11 projects with a total of 152 MW of capacity in the December auction round, which so far yielded two turbine orders for Vestas.
