Vestas secures 250 MW of turbine orders in China, Australia

Vestas Wind Systems A/S (CPH:VWS) on Tuesday announced contracts to supply wind turbines for projects in China and Australia with a combined capacity of 250 MW.

The Danish manufacturer will equip a 40-MW distributed wind project in China with 12 V155-3.3 MW turbines. The contract with an unnamed customer also includes a 20-year service agreement. It takes the company's order intake for this turbine variant in China to over 300 MW, all secured in less than four months.

Turbine delivery and wind farm commissioning are planned for the final quarter of the year.

In Australia, Vestas will deliver 50 V150-4.2 MW turbines for a 210-MW wind park. The contract with an undisclosed customer also includes a 10-year service agreement. The wind project is due to be commissioned between the third and fourth quarter of 2021.
