Vestas lands order for last phase of 120-MW wind park in India

Vestas Wind Systems A/S (CPH:VWS) said on Thursday it has secured a 40-MW wind turbine deal from Atria Brindavan Power Pvt Ltd, it third consecutive order from the Indian developer.

The contract calls for the supply and installation of 18 units of the V110-2.0 MW turbines, to be provided in 2.2-MW power optimised mode. The equipment will be powering the third phase of the 120-MW Basavane Bagewadi wind park in the Bijapur district of Karnataka state.

A 15-year full-scope Active Output Management 5000 (AOM 5000) service agreement and a VestasOnline Business SCADA solution are also included in the deal, the Danish wind turbine maker said. It is to commission the wind park in the second quarter of next year.

Vestas has now secured more than 520 MW of orders in India since the start of 2017, it said. It will deliver the turbines for the first two phases of the Basavane Bagewadi wind park following orders received in the past two months.
