March 3 (Renewables Now) - Danish wind turbine manufacturer Vestas Wind Systems A/S (CPH:VWS) announced on Friday it has received a 33-MW supply order for a project in Lower Austria.

The firm and unconditional order was made by long-term customer Evn naturkraft Erzeugungsgesellschaft mbH and concerns its Sommerein wind project.

Under the terms of the deal, Vestas will deliver and commission turbines from two different models -- the V112-3.3 MW and V126-3.3 MW. The contract also includes a VestasOnline Business SCADA solution.

The Danish company expects the delivery and commissioning of the turbines to start during the first quarter of next year.

In May 2015, Vestas won a contract of the same size from Austrian firm Smart-energy Betriebs GmbH for its 33-MW Hohenruppersdorf II wind farm, also located in Lower Austria.
