Vestas confirms Dutch offshore order

Nov 7, 2011 - Danish wind turbine maker Vestas Wind Systems A/S (CPH:VWS) confirmed today information on the market that it had been chosen as preferred supplier for an offshore project in the Netherlands.

Vestas said it would make an official announcement if it receives a firm and unconditional order.

Last Friday, Dutch utility Eneco Holding NV disclosed it would build a wind farm in the North Sea with an overall capacity of 129 MW.

For that purpose, Eneco would order 43 Vestas V112-3.0MW wind turbines, it said.
