Vestas Wind Systems A/S (CPH:VWS) is to supply turbines for a 43-MW wind power project in eastern Germany, the Danish firm said today.
The company will deliver 11 units of the V136-3.45 MW turbines and one V126-3.45 MW turbine, all of them in 3.6 MW power optimised mode. The contract also includes a 20-year service agreement.
Project developer NOTUS energy Plan GmbH & Co KG said the Guenthersdorf project in Brandenburg has undergone a long planning period, with changes in the turbine variants, but its close cooperation with Vestas helped achieve its successful approval.
Vestas is due to start equipment delivery in the second quarter of 2021 and the wind park is expected to be commissioned in the following quarter.
