Vestas bags 33-MW turbine order in Sweden from Allianz

Danish company Vestas Wind Systems A/S (CPH:VWS) said on Tuesday it will supply and install 33 MW of wind turbines in Sweden as part of the Mombyasen project that was acquired recently by Allianz Capital Partners.

Vestas will deliver 10 of its V126-3.3 MW machines for the project during the second quarter of 2016. It expects to commission them in the third quarter of that year. The company has also received a 10-year Active Output Management (AOM) 5000 service agreement.

This latest order brings Vestas’ firm order intake on the V126-3.3 MW turbine in Sweden close to 200 MW, it noted.

A fund managed by Allianz Capital Partners bought the Mombyasen project from local sector company Arise AB (STO:ARISE) in early August. Before that, in June, Arise acquired the scheme from E.on Wind Sweden AB with the plan to build the wind park for another owner.
