November 29 (Renewables Now) - Vestas Wind Systems A/S (CPH:VWS) has received an order to supply 183 MW of turbines for an undisclosed wind project in the US.

The unnamed buyer ordered wind turbines of the V120-2.2 MW model with a number of them operating in 2.0 MW, the Danish manufacturer said in a brief statement.

The customer previously purchased 2-MW platform components for the same project, which now adds up to 202 MW of the total nameplate capacity.

As part of the order agreement, Vestas will supply and commission the equipment and service the project for ten years.

The company is due to begin deliveries in the second quarter of 2020 and commission the wind turbines in the fourth quarter of 2020.
