December 9 (Renewables Now) - Danish wind turbine maker Vestas Wind Systems A/S (CPH:VWS) will deliver 137 MW of its machines for an unspecified project in the US, it said on Friday.

Under the deal, the Danish company will supply and commission V110-2.0 MW and V110-2.2 MW turbines, expecting to start deliveries in the third quarter of next year. The wind power plant is scheduled to begin operations in the last quarter of 2020.

The name of the customer and particular details about the project were not provided in the press statement.

The contract also includes a service agreement for the equipment for a 10-year term. It follows another US order from last week that will see Vestas will supply 149 MW of turbines for an undisclosed project that is slated for commissioning in the closing quarter of 2020, as well.
