Verbio Vereinigte BioEnergie deputy chief supervisor resigns

(ADPnews) - Sep 27, 2010 - German biofuel producer Verbio Vereinigte BioEnergie AG (ETR:VBK) said today that the firm's deputy chairman of the supervisory board, Fritz Vahrenholt, resigned due to possible interest conflicts.

Vahrenholt's mandate expires in summer 2011 but he left the post early as he disagreed with the firm's campaign to replace a nuclear power plant with a biogas facility in 2013, Verbio said.

As a consequence, Claus Meyer-Wulf has become member of the firm's supervisory board.

Verbio Vereinigte BioEnergie produces around 450,000 tonnes of biodiesel and 300,000 tonnes of bioethanol per year.
