Hellenic Cables, the Greek cable production segment of Belgian holding company Cenergy Holdings SA, will manufacture and supply the inter-array cables for the Vesterhav Syd and Nord offshore wind projects in Danish waters totalling 350 MW.The firm’s first-ever major subsea cables production contract comes from Swedish state-owned utility Vattenfall AB. Its value was not disclosed.Hellenic Cables will supply about 70 km of 66-kV insulated inter-array cables and associated accessories made at its submarine cable production facility in Corinth, Greece. Production is seen to start next summer, while delivery will take place in the first quarter of 2023.In April, Vattenfall announced the selection of the Danish port of Hvide Sande as the service port for the two wind parks.
