German wind turbine maker Enercon GmbH has announced an order to install its hardware for a 14.1-MW wind energy project in southern France.
Through Enercon France, the manufacturer signed a contract with French renewables firm Valorem for the installation of six units of the E-82 E4 turbines. Valorem will use the equipment to assemble the Amoures Bouissac wind farm in the Herault department.
The EUR-24.5-million (USD 24.3m) wind project will represent the first collaboration between Enercon and Valorem, the turbine maker said in Tuesday’s announcement.
The Amoures Bouissac wind farm will produce 36 GWh per year. Its commissioning is expected in early 2024. Afterwards, Enercon’s team in southern France will maintain the turbines.
