May 13 (Renewables Now) - Finnish infrastructure company Enersense International Oyj (HEL:ESENSE) announced on Friday that its wind power subsidiary Megatuuli Oy had struck an agreement with French renewables firm Valorem to develop some 1.5 GW of wind farm projects in Finland by 2025.

The targeted capacity includes projects that Valorem and Megatuuli are currently working on and new prospects. The so-called “mutual co-operation agreement” is limited to a three-year term, Enersense said.

The company expects the gigawatt-scale development to bring EUR 1.5 billion (USD 1.56bn) of new investments to Finland.

Greenfield wind power developer Megatuuli has been an Enersense business since February 1, 2022, when the infrastructure builder finalised its acquisition. Megatuuli’s relationship with Valorem includes collaboration on the operational Saunamaa wind farm, and Kalistanneva and Matkussaari wind projects in Finland.
