US WindPower Innovations, Wind Sail Receptorto jointly develop wind turbines

(ADPnews) - Oct 29, 2010 - US wind power infrastructure firm WindPower Innovations (PINK:WPNV) has partnered with wind power systems developer Wind Sail Receptor Inc to jointly produce wind turbines.

The partners plan to enter a strategic alliance envisaging WindPower to provide wind turbine generators and electronic components to Wind Sail Receptor. The conditions of the collaboration would be set in a subsequent formal agreement between the two companies, WindPower said.

"The new generation of wind turbine will pay off with increased efficiencies as a result of Wind Sail Receptor’s innovative and technologically advanced blade design, coupled with permanent magnet generators, electronics and grid-tie inverter from WindPower Innovations", Ian Griffiths, chief technical officer of WindPower said.
