US Southwest Windpower sets up engineering, sales office in Colorado
Dec 1, 2011 - US small wind turbine maker Southwest Windpower today unveiled the opening of an engineering and sales office near Denver in the US state of Colorado, to focus on the development of a wind testing site and commercial sales.
The wind turbine maker said it had selected the location as it is close to the National Technology Centre of the National Renewable Energy Laboratory, where the company will develop a test site.
The new office is to support Southwest Windpower's plan to shift to offering renewable energy systems for commercial and industrial markets such as telecommunications, village electrification and other large projects globally. The team at the new location will develop products for these markets. Earlier, the company was focused on smaller-scale systems for households or small businesses.
Southwest Windpower added that its production unit, customer support and residential sales units will continue to operate from its headquarters in the state of Arizona.
