US Perdue Agribusiness to supply feedstock for ethanol plant
(ADPnews) - Oct 18, 2010 - US agricultural products provider Perdue Agribusiness said on Friday its bio energy unit had agreed to supply feedstock for an ethanol production plant of BioEnergy International in Pennsylvania.
BioEnergy International's ethanol plant is operational since 2009 and has a production capacity of 110 million gallons per year. The company has invested USD 270 million (EUR 194.4m) in its establishment.
Under the agreement, Perdue BioEnergy will provide 40 million bushels of corn, purchased mainly from local farmers, for BioEnergy International's ethanol plant. It will also sell 385,000 tonnes of ethanol production co-product, distillers grains, as a feed ingredient to diary and poultry firms in the state and to international markets.
Perdue Agribusiness is a subsidiary of US poultry producer Perdue Inc.
