US Gevo, Mansfield team up on isobutanol distribution

Sep 8, 2011 - US biofuels firm Gevo Inc (NASDAQ:GEVO) today said it had formed a strategic marketing partnership with Mansfield Oil Co for the distribution of isobutanol-based fuel in the petroleum market.

The partnership includes a five-year deal that enables Mansfield to blend for own use, and to distribute, Gevo's isobutanol. Mansfield will also provide supply chain services including logistics management, customer support, invoicing and billing through a subsidiary under a three-year contract.

The two parties have also signed a commercial offtake agreement. Gevo said this was its second offtake deal, after the contract signed with Sasol Chemical Industries Ltd, a unit of South Africa Sasol (JNB:SOL), earlier this month.
