Nordex SE (ETR:NDX1) is still working to restore its IT systems after a cyber security incident from the end of March, while its turbines are operating without restrictions.
The incident was limited to the internal IT infrastructure and did not spread to any third-party assets, the German wind turbine maker said on Tuesday, citing preliminary results of an investigation.
Nordex noted that the communication between wind farms and grid operators and energy traders has not been affected.
The manufacturer was hit by a cyber security incident on March 31 and decided to shut down IT systems across multiple locations and business units. Measures were taken immediately to contain the issue. These include setting up alternative remote control services for most of the fleet.
A team of internal and external IT experts was also formed to investigate the issue and conduct forensic analysis. The investigation is ongoing.
