Denmark’s Vestas Wind Systems A/S (CPH:VWS) has won a turbine supply order for a 241-MW wind project in the US, it announced today, without disclosing the name of the customer.
Vestas will equip the wind park with 230 MW of V136-3.45 MW turbines delivered in 3.6 MW Power Optimised Mode. The project uses a “mixed platform site configuration” as the unnamed customer has already purchased components for 2-MW turbines.
The Danish firm will start deliveries in the second quarter of next year and will commission the turbines in the third quarter of that year. It will also service the facility under a 20-year contract.
Earlier in the day, Vestas announced a 359-MW supply contract from an unnamed customer for another project in the US.
