(SeeNews) – Aug 8, 2012 – German wind turbine company Fuhrlaender AG said today Ukrainian businessman Maxim Efimov became its new majority shareholder.
Efimov together with several other retail investors has acquired about 80% of Fuhrlaender’s shares. Willi Balz, whose company Windreich AG is the second-biggest single shareholder of Fuhrlaender, welcomed the new strategic investor.
Efimov is general director of Russian Rosatom's subsidiary Energomashspetsstal in Kramatorsk, Ukraine. Fuhrlaender said, however, this does not mean that Energomashspetsstal or Rosatom have become shareholders of the German company.
Efimov himself said at a press conference he would still welcome a cooperation between Rosatom and Fuhrlaender, as the latter is leader on the Ukrainian sector market and a very interesting partner for the large markets, which are forming in the East.
Fuhrlaender's CEO Werner Heer announced the wind turbine company wants to focus on the markets in Germany, Poland and the Ukraine.
