UK Trident Energy to test wave power generator onshore - report

(ADPnews) - Nov 4, 2010 - UK marine energy firm Trident Energy will start an onshore test for its demonstration wave power generator, BBC News reported on Tuesday.

The 80-tonne generator will be tested on a rig that stimulates wave conditions at a special test bed in Lowestoft, England.

This demonstration rig will be used to obtain performance data and operational capability prior to the design and deployment of the company’s first grid connected commercial wave energy convertor (WEC).
