Weekly renewables M&A round-up (Jun 27-Jul 1)
Jul 01, 2022 17:05 CESTMay 20 (Renewables Now) - UK-based environmental, engineering and technical services provider RSK Group has acquired Welsh wind turbine maintenance and repair company Windtechs to boost its renewable energy offering.
Founded in 2007 by Seth Jones and David Rose, Windtechs’ line of services includes annual and intermediate services on original equipment, major component replacement, oil sampling, analysis and high voltage (HV) switching, among others.
The acquired firm will join forces with RSK’s renewable energy subsidiary CAN Renewables, RSK said earlier this week. CAN Renewables is currently working towards attaining approved installer and servicing contractor status with a UK manufacturer of small turbines.
With Windtechs under its belt, RSK will enhance its ability to provide a whole turbine installation and care service. RSK noted that Windtechs is well equipped to extend the life of existing wind farms.
