Turkish regional development agency to finance green energy, environmental projects
Dec 21, 2012 - Turkish regional development agency Izmir Development Agency (IZKA) earlier this week announced a TRY-25-million (USD 13.9m/EUR 10.5m) funding programme for renewable energy and environmental technology projects in the Izmir province.
The agency will provide as much as TRY 15 million of the financing to projects of profit-oriented applicants such as small and medium enterprises, cooperatives and unions. The remaining TRY 10 million will go for projects of governments, universities and organized industrial zones.
The selected projects under the programme will receive financing ranging from at least 10% of the project's cost to up to 50% of the cost for profit-oriented projects and up to 75% of the cost for not-for-profit projects. The remaining financing of the projects will be provided by the applicants or their project partners.
