Turkish energy investment firm Kinesis Enerji has acquired the 50-MW Andella wind project in Spain through its Madrid-based unit.
The news on the acquisition was announced on Thursday by Germany’s ABO Wind AG, which will handle the project development on behalf of the buyer until the wind farm is connected to the grid.
Grid-access and the land in the Castile and Leon region have been secured, the German renewables developer said. The partners are now waiting for environmental and building permits, the applications for which have been submitted.
ABO Wind will design the Andella wind farm layout, purchase the turbines and supervise its construction. The company will also advise Kinesis Enerji on financing solutions.
The Andella project will be shovel-ready in early 2021, while grid-connection is expected in 2022.
ABO Wind is currently developing around 1,000 MW of wind and solar farms in Spain, many of them with a secured grid-access, the company said.
