Trianel acquires 33-MW wind park in Brandenburg

Trianel Erneuerbare Energien GmbH & Co KG (TEE) has signed a deal to buy the 33-MW Uckley-Nord onshore wind park in Germany’s federal state of Brandenburg from developer ABO Wind AG.

The unit of German municipal utilities group Trianel GmbH announced the deal on Wednesday, without disclosing its value.

The Uckley-Nord wind farm, which was commissioned in late September, consists of 10 units of Nordex’s N131/3300 turbines. Their combined output is enough to cover the annual consumption of about 30,000 households.

TEE aims to build a portfolio of ground-mounted solar photovoltaic (PV) plants and onshore wind parks with a combined capacity of at least 275 MW by the end of 2018. Its CEO Markus Hakes commented that more than half of this target will be achieved by the end of 2016.
