New Zealand renewable energy systems operator TrustPower Ltd (NZE:TPW) expects to hear a final decision on its 375-MW Palmer wind project in South Australia by end-2015, ABC News said Tuesday.
The company has already presented its final plans for the plant to the Mid Murray council. It estimates that the panel will examine all presentations in support of the project submissions during a hearing before Christmas, wind development manager, Rontheo Van Zyl, was cited as saying.
The Palmer project initially envisaged installing 130 turbines east of Adelaide, but the proposal was scaled down to 114 following public consultations. They will generate as much as 1,300 GWh annually.
