January 11 (Renewables Now) - TPI Composites Inc (NASDAQ:TPIC) announced on Friday a multiyear supply agreement with Danish company Vestas Wind Systems A/S (CPH:VWS) under which the US composite wind blades maker will supply blades for India and export markets.

TPI will produce wind blades at a new manufacturing hub in India, in the greater Chennai region, which is expected to open for production in the first quarter of 2020. The new factory will be able to serve both the Indian and global wind markets, TPI said.

Vestas and TPI are partnering in other parts of the world, such as Latin America and China.
