to-the-point: Statkraft reportedly leads race to buy Continuum Wind

September 9 (Renewables Now) - Norwegian state-owned utility Statkraft AS is leading the race to acquire Singapore-based and India-focused Continuum Wind Energy Ltd, newspaper Mint reports.

According to one of two sources quoted by the paper, Statkraft is now the only contender to buy the wind energy platform, which is majority owned by Morgan Stanley Infrastructure Partners. The person has added that the Norwegian company is currently carrying out due diligence on the target’s portfolio.

Continuum has over 700 MW of operational wind farms spread across Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh and Telangana, according to the report.
