to-the-point: Siemens Gamesa extends O&M charter contracts

June 10 (Renewables Now) - Wind turbine maker Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy SA (BME:SGRE) has extended charter agreements with Seacat Services for two vessels used for operations and maintenance (O&M) activities at the 353-MW Galloper offshore wind farm in UK waters.

The UK-based offshore energy support vessel (OESV) operator said Monday that the previous 2-year contracts for vessels Seacat Liberty and Seacat Vigilant had been extended.

The contract for Seacat Vigilant will run until the fourth quarter of 2020 with the possibility of a further extension. Seacat Liberty will provide services until the fourth quarter of 2022.

The Galloper wind farm, located off the Suffolk Coast, is equipped with 56 6.3-MW turbines supplied by Siemens Gamesa.
