to-the-point: Siemens Gamesa appoints Cyber Security head

Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy SA (BME:SGRE) today announced the appointment of Alan Feeley as Chief Cyber Security Officer in addition to his role of Chief Information Officer.

The wind turbine maker, formed by the merger between Gamesa and Siemens Wind Power in April, said it wants to be prepared for future cyber security challenges and to address any potential security issues for it and for its customers.

Feeley will broaden and manage Siemens Gamesa's operational framework for cyber security and will consolidate all security developments in the context of the digital transformation of the company, it said.

The new Chief Cyber Security Officer will collaborate with the technology and product security divisions of the company, corporate security, and human resources.
