Germany’s Senvion SA (ETR:SEN) said today it has signed a deal with project developer Wpd to supply turbines for a 18.45-MW wind project in the Canadian province of Ontario.
Under the terms of the contract, Senvion will ship nine of its 2.05-MW MM92 type wind turbines, specifically designed for cold climates, to the White Pines scheme in Prince Edward County. Deliveries are planned for next summer.
The two companies have also entered into a 15-year service and maintenance agreement (ISP).
Once up and running, the particular wind farm will be generating enough electricity to meet the annual consumption of some 3,000 households.
