German wind turbine maker Senvion SA (ETR:SEN) has signed six conditional contracts for a total capacity of over 60 MW at the WindEnergy 2016 trade fair in Hamburg, it said today.
The company received the conditional orders from Buergerwindpark im Kirchspiel Medelby GmbH & Co KG, which is purchasing 22 Senvion turbines of the firm’s 2-MW and 3-MW portfolios. These machines will be installed as part of projects in Schleswig-Holstein.
By the start of last year, Buergerwindpark im Kirchspiel had already completed four wind farms using 27 of Senvion’s 3.2M114 and MM92 turbines. The expanded wind parks will generate enough electricity to power 83,000 homes a year.
Senvion did not disclose the value of the new contracts.
