to-the-point: Nordex bags 290-MW service extension deal with Iberwind

September 19 (Renewables Now) - Germany’s Nordex (ETR:NDX1) will continue servicing 290 MW of wind turbines in Portugal on behalf of local wind farm operator Iberwind under an extended service agreement.

In a press release on Thursday, the German manufacturer said the premium service contract covers 132 Nordex turbines, which represent about 70% of the entire wind turbine capacity it has installed in Portugal. Under the extended deal, Nordex will continue to take care of the service and maintenance of 110 units of the N90/2500 and N90/2300 turbines and 22 pieces of the N60/1300 machines until 2025. 

According to the press release, Iberwind currently operates more than 300 wind turbines with a combined capacity of around 730 MW.
