to-the-point: Minesto secures European patent for core technology

Swedish tidal power kite developer Minesto AB today said it has secured a European patent for the primary patent family covering the company’s core technology.

When published in November, the primary patent family covering Minesto’s core technology Deep Green will cover 15 key markets worldwide.

“As a technology driven company it is of the outmost importance to continuously develop our IP strategy and the protection of our most valuable asset – our core technology. In that sense, this European patent is a milestone for Minesto”, said the company's CEO Dr Martin Edlund.

In August Edlund said that work on the first full-scale model of Minesto’s Deep Green tidal power turbine is continuing according to plan and it is on track to launch the device next summer.
