November 20 (Renewables Now) - Singapore-based KS Orka Renewables Pte Ltd has hooked to the grid a combined geothermal heat and power plant in Hungary.
The company is currently commissioning the plant, which is the first of its kind in the country, it says on its website. The facility is located in the municipality of Turawell. It has an installed power generating capacity of 3 MW and a heating capacity of 7 MW.
KS Orka says it intends to construct a portfolio of power plants in South East Europe with a combined electric capacity of 100 MW and heating capacity of 280 MWth by the end of 2021.
