to-the-point: Juwi wins 4 wind projects in recent German tender

German renewables developer Juwi Group has won five projects with a combined capacity of more than 18 MW in German onshore wind tenders.

The company said on Wednesday it has four projects successful in the second onshore wind tender this year, completed earlier in May. These are the Gau-Bickelheim II, Schauerberg and Knittelsheim projects in Rhineland-Palatinate, and the Lauda-Heckfeld wind scheme in Baden-Wuerttemberg. This is in addition to an earlier award.

The second onshore wind tender targeted a bit over 670 MW but got bids for just 604 MW, marking the first time demand falls below the total volume. The average surcharge awarded was higher than in the first onshore wind tender for 2018.
