Invenergy Wind LLC and its local community partners held a ribbon-cutting ceremony last week at the 74.8-MW Roncevaux wind farm in Quebec.
The plant is located at a site in the Gaspesie–Iles-de-la-Madeleine region in the MRC d’Avignon, where 34 units of General Electric’s GE 2.2-107 wind turbines are now installed and generating power.
The project is a partnership between Invenergy, the Reegie intermunicipale de l’energie Gaspesie– Iles-de-la-Madeleine and Energie Eolienne Bas-Saint-Laurent SENC. Hydro-Quebec Distribution will be purchasing the output of the wind park over a period of 25 years.
