December 10 (Renewables Now) - Spanish electrical engineering company Ingeteam SA on Monday opened a power electronics and control equipment manufacturing facility in Bizkaia province, Spain.

The factory will make power converters to be used for renewable electricity generation, grids, storage and in the railway traction, mining, shipbuilding and steel industries.

A team of 70 will work on the factory floor and handle all aspects of the manufacturing process, Ingeteam said.

The factory spans 6,500 square metres (70 sq ft), including office space and a test bench for testing both finished products and prototypes.
