to-the-point: Half of turbines up at 24-MW French site

Wind turbine installation contractor Windhoist has installed half of the turbines at the 24-MW Saint Pierre de Maille III wind farm in France.

The company said Tuesday it has now erected four of the facility's eight turbines. The wind farm will use Siemens 3.2-113 machines.

Last week the Scottish-based company, which operates globally, said it has started work to erect nine Vestas turbines at the Sanquhar wind farm in Dumfries and Galloway, Scotland. This wind park will power Nestle's UK and Ireland operations.
