to-the-point: GCP Infra commits to GBP-64m wind-related debt investment

May 20 (Renewables Now) - GCP Infrastructure Investments Ltd (LON:GCP) has conditionally committed to subscribe for loan notes totalling GBP 64 million (USD 82m/EUR 73m).

The fund, which invests in UK infrastructure debt, said in a statement that these loan notes will be used to finance an investment in the subordinated debt and shareholder interests of an onshore wind farm. It did not provide details about the specific plant, apart from that it is in receipt of renewable obligation certificates (ROCs).

GCP Infra added that, if it proceeds with this investment, it will use its available resources to do so.
