Italian green energy company Fri-El Group has secured around EUR 40 million (USD 47m) in financing for a local wind park.
The news was announced by international law firm Watson Farley & Williams (WFW), which advised UniCredit SpA on the project financing. The funds will support a 54-MW wind farm in Grottole Municipality, in the Basilicata region.
Earlier this month, WFW said it had helped arrange financing for the 25.2-MW Sant'Agata di Puglia biomass plant in the Apulia region. That facility is owned by a joint venture between French private equity fund Ardian and Italy’s Tozzi Green SpA.
