June 8 (Renewables Now) - The European Investment Bank (EIB) said today it is providing a loan of EUR 19.3 million (USD 22.7m) to Energiepark Bruck/Leitha so it could finance two wind projects in Austria with a combined capacity of 17 MW.

The financing plan totals EUR 27.3 million and includes a EUR-8-million contribution from Erste Bank, according to the announcement. The EIB loan is backed by a guarantee from the European Fund for Strategic Investments (EFSI).

Energiepark Bruck/Leitha will use the funds to build the 6.5-MW Bruckneudorf and the 10.5-MW Hoeflein West wind farms.
