to-the-point: Dandelion draws talent from solar sector

December 4 (Renewables Now) - Dandelion, the Alphabet Inc (NASDAQ:GOOGL) spin-off that provides home geothermal systems, said today it has given operations and technology management roles to two experts formerly employed by Sungevity and Tesla Inc (NASDAQ:TSLA).

The home geothermal company has appointed Ryan Hunter as its Vice President of Operations. Hunter previously acted as the Senior Vice President of Installation Operations at rooftop solar installer Sungevity Inc. Before that he also held senior positions at SolarCity and Meridian Solar.

Also, Brian Zimmerly has become the company’s Director of Product Engineering after serving as a senior engineer at Tesla.

Dandelion initiated sales and operations in upstate New York earlier this year after completing a USD-2-million (EUR 1.7m) seed round led by Collaborative Fund.
