to-the-point: China's Sungrow unveils energy storage system for N America

April 25 (Renewables Now) - Chinese solar inverter maker Sungrow Power Supply Co Ltd (SHE:300274) has introduced a 250KW-2/4 hours energy storage system that is specifically designed for commercial and industrial (C&I) projects in North America.

The solution, which can be configured from 250 kW to 1 MW, consists of storage inverters, batteries and BMS & EMS software. The battery will be supplied by the Sungrow-Samsung SDI joint venture.

Sungrow noted that the system has various C&I applications such as peak-shaving, energy-shifting, demand charge management, renewable energy integration and microgrid capabilities.

The company unveiled the product at the Energy Storage Association's 27th Annual Conference and Expo in Denver, Colorado.
