to-the-point: Brookfield Renewable to sell CAD 500m in mid-term notes

Canada-based Brookfield Renewable Partners LP (NYSE:BEP) said Tuesday it will issue CAD 500 million (USD 379.6m/EUR 345.1m) worth of medium-term notes to settle outstanding debt.

The company will also use the proceeds for general corporate purposes. It has a portfolio of hydroelectric and wind facilities in North America, Latin America and Europe with a combined installed capacity of about 10.7 GW.

The Series 10 notes are due January 15, 2027. They will yield an annual coupon of 3.63%. The transaction is expected to close around August 12, subject to certain customary conditions.
